I obtained a PhD in Terrestrial Ecology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. My research interest focuses on the response of terrestrial ecosystems to climate change, using remotely sensed data and machine learning techniques. In my research, I used satellite and geospatial data in cloud-based platforms (such as Google Earth Engine), for large-scale analysis of land surface phenology estimation and land cover classification. I am now working in a postdoctoral position for the ALFAwetlands project, and I will be producing a detailed land cover map of the European wetlands and will characterize these ecosystems using remotely sensed data.Recent publications under CREAF affiliation Impacts of global change on Mediterranean forests and their servicesPeñuelas, J., Sardans, J., Filella, I., Estiarte, M., Llusià, J., Ogaya, R., Carnicer, J., Bartrons, M., Rivas-Ubach, A., Grau, O., Peguero, G., Margalef, O., Pla-Rabés, S., Stefanescu, C., Asensio, D., Preece, C., Liu, L., Verger, A., Barbeta, A., Achotegui-Castells, A., Gargallo-Garriga, A., Sperlich, D., Farré-Armengol, G., Fernández-Martínez, M., Liu, D., Zhang, C., Urbina, I., Camino-Serrano, M., Vives-Ingla, M., Stocker, B.D., Balzarolo, M., Guerrieri, R., Peaucelle, M., Marañón-Jiménez, S., Bórnez-Mejías, K., Mu, Z., Descals, A., Castellanos, A., Terradas, J.2017Forests800Doi: 10.3390/f8120463 View more publications
