CREAF is seeking for a postdoctoral associate researcher, to work on the High Resolution Land Cover project with ref. AO/1-9041/17/I-NB, from the Climate Change Initiative program, and financed by the European Space Agency (ESA). This contract is envisaged to start in January 2021 and will last until the project will finish, at the end of September 2021 and the salary offered is 2418,94 € gross per month.

- Support CREAF research team on the tasks related to Work Packages: Requirements Management and Assessment of ECV Products for Climate Science
- Active participation in regular project meetings and write progress reports and deliverables
- Research in geospatial dataset generation of high resolution Ecosystem Functional Types (EFT)
- Analysis of relations between Land Cover changes, EFT dynamics and climate variables
- Relevant contributions to manuscripts for scientific journals

- Bachelor degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology or equivalent
- PhD in Terrestrial Ecology, Biodiversity or Remote Sensing or equivalent
- Remote sensing and GIS skills
- Expertise in Landscape Ecology and Spatial Statistics research topics
- Advanced level of oral and written English

- Fluency in exposing ideas and discussing in public
- Working independently and in a team
- Publications in Plant Functional Types or Ecosystem Functional Types topics
- Publications in Climate Change monitoring fields
- Experience in large times series of remotely sensed images processing
- Experience with batch processing or computer languages, preferable in Phyton

The selection process is led by the research project team, and will be overseen by the Management Office and the Human Resources Area of CREAF. This process consists of:
1.
