Verónica Sandoya holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. Ater that, she received in 2012 her M.Sc. from Universidad de Concepción (Chile), where she worked in the Ecobiosis Laboratory and Invasions Lab. In 2015, she started her PhD at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona on the functional and phylogenetic ecology of plants.

She has worked in different investigations, ecological foundations, academic and for the Environment Ministry. Since 2014, she joined Yachay Tech University (Ecuador) as a tutor of Biology and professor of lab Biology.

Ecology, Biogeography, Distribution and Conservation, Evolutionary Ecology.
