I have been researcher at Remote Sensing Unit-UV (2008-2010), EMMAH-INRA (Avignon, France, 2010-2013), and Global Ecology Unit-CREAF (since 2013). Currently, I am the principal investigator (PI) at CREAF of the European Union programmes Copernicus Global Land Service (C-GLOPS1) and Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S).My main research interests are in the development and validation of retrieval algorithms for the estimation of biophysical variables –from satellite to unmanned aerial vehicle remote sensing–, global change, climate-vegetation dynamics, and phenology.I have participated in more than 30 national and European research projects, and started-up several public-private technology transfer initiatives. I have been the PI of LONGLOVE, AgriUAV, GIO-GL, C-GLOPS1 and C3S projects. I have supervised 4 PhD.I have published more than 30 papers in SCI journals.I am editor of the journals Remote Sensing and Frontiers in Forests and Global Change.
