The CREAF training programs seeks to attract high profile candidates with the vision of developing future research leaders. CREAF can offer you a future rich in opportunities and growth on a professional level, and the unique skills to support you becoming a relevant and successful researcher.

Thank you for your interest in CREAF. There are several ways in which you can study with CREAF in a stimulating environment involving multidisciplinary research:

Master and PhD Fellowships

Masters projects: If you are interested in ideas and supervision for a Masters Projects or summer work experience during your degree, please contact the researcher you think could be more interesting for your area of study.

PhD Studentships: CREAF works in collaboration with Autonomous University of Barcelona to input scientific and supervisory expertise into PhD projects. Currently there are approximately 40 PhD students studying with CREAF.  These opportunities are funded through a variety of sources:

  • Directly-funded PhD Opportunities: PhD studentships where funding for the project is secured will be advertised in the Vacancies Hub (link) when available.
  • Competitively-funded PhD Opportunities: We receive requests to contract pre doctoral students offered by the Catalan, Spanish or other government:
    • FPI - Ministeri de Ciència i Innovació
    • FI - Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca
    • FPU - Ministeri d'Educació

Postdoctoral Fellowships

Directly funded research fellowships are not available from CREAF at this moment but we welcome the opportunity to work with externally-funded world-class scientists.  If your experience and ambition match CREAF’s scientific aims and you wish to carry out research at one of our sites, the following funding schemes exist that could allow you to do so:
