CREAF seeks for a Talent/Gender Officer to work full-time on the SEVERO OCHOA program (2018 SEVERO OCHOA Excellence Centers, ref. CEX2018-000828-S, from the Agencia Estatal de Investigación). This contract is expected to start in September 2020, and will finish at the end of December 2023.

- To implement a career development program for researchers.
- To develop a mentoring program for young researchers.
- To create and dynamize a predoctoral and postdoctoral community.
- To develop and to monitor the implementation of internal procedure to facilitate the establishment of new researchers
- To define and apply coordinated actions and strategies to attract and retain the best young researchers.
- To create an internal mobility program and to look for specific project calls promoting international mobility for CREAF staff.
- To promote and lead a Women in Science Office within CREAF and coordinate the Centre's Equal Opportunities Committee. 

- PhD degree in Experimental Sciences
- Experience in the topics of ecology and / or environment.
- Experience in the training of PhD or master theses or degree students.
- High level of understanding, speaking and writing of English and Spanish and/or Catalan.

- Experience in developing proposals and/or activities on gender topics.
- Professional stays in international research centers.
- Experience in mentoring and career development topics.
- Experience of international networking activities.
- Experience in the organization of congresses, symposia, workshops and meetings.

The selection process is led by the Severo Ochoa commission for CREAF, and will be overseen by the Management office and the Staff Administration of CREAF. This process consists of:
1. Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer (filled), by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until 15 may 2020, indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the suitable person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
