CS-TIGERContracts and agreementsProject duration: Feb 2015 to Feb 2016The project aims to develop a comprehensive citizen science framework that combines “traditional” scientific surveillance data with "citizens science" data to develop an early warning system and an environmental managing tool for invasive species and disease vectors like the Asian tiger mosquito.IntroductionAlso, the project has a strong public outreach component based on the use of innovative tools to foster scientific culture. It consists of a state level experience that can serve as an example for the design of other systems of citizen science, especially in matters of public health (disease control, monitoring and control of other invasive species).
