Join for the event and learn how to contribute to air quality monitoring by using citizen science and how to build your own air quality sensor with CanAirIO, a Colombian citizen observatory to monitor air quality with mobile and fixed sensors for measuring air quality (Particle Material PM2.5) with mobile phones (mobile measurement) or Wi-Fi (fixed measurements) with low-cost technology and open source code!
During the webinar the CanAirIO team will explain how to contribute to air quality monitoring through citizen science and provide a tutorial about how to make an air quality sensor. Representatives from the Network of the National Library of Medicine – Pacific Northwest Region will be joining to ask about the CanAirIO team about the project.
The event will be an hour and a half long. The first hour is geared toward a general audience of all ages, and the last thirty minutes will focus on best practices for community leaders to get others involved in citizen science.
