CREAF is seeking for a predoctoral researcher, to work with a sole full-time contract on the following two projects (alternatively/simultaneously):
- CREAF contribution to the COS4CLOUD project (“Co-designed Citizen Observatories Services for the EOS-Cloud”), ref. 863463, from the H2020 program, funded by the European Union.- CREAF contribution to the WeObserve project (“An Ecosystem of Citizen Observatories for Environmental Monitoring”), ref. 776740, from the H2020 program, funded by the European Union.
The contract will last until the end of the tasks detailed below in the framework of those projects or until a successful presentation of a PhD dissertation.

REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Computer Science, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Geography, or similar. Demonstrated knowledge in web development and/or software development. Knowledge and skills in group work. Good level of Catalan, Spanish and English, written and spoken. Availability for traveling abroad.
ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS Training and experience in one or more of these topics: Citizen Science, Data Management, Integration Analysis and Web Mapping. Previous experience in citizen science projects. Experience in application development in JavaScript and Python. Experience in application development in C. Experience in script programming. Experience in developing applications for the cloud. Knowledge on geospatial standards. Preference for Microsoft Windows based systems.
