CREAF

CREAF is seeking for a high specialized technical coordinator, to work with a sole full-time contract on the following projects (alternatively/simultaneously):

- MIDMACC LIFE18 CCA/ES/001099 project ("Mid-mountain adaptation to climate change"), funded by the European Commission.
- For the CREAF contribution to the INTERREG SUDOE MONTCLIMA project (“Climate and natural hazards in the SUDOE mountains”, ref. SOE3/P4/E0874) from the European Union, funded in part with ERDF.

The contract will last until the end of the tasks detailed below.

TASKS

1. Management and leadership of the project consortium.
2. Management of the relationship with the EC (LIFE programme) and other public administrations.
3. Coordination and technical supervision of the project tasks.
4. Project meeting preparation, development and reporting.
5. Coordination of stakeholder involvement.
6. Dissemination of project results.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Higher degree in Environmental or Biological Sciences, with experience in multidisciplinary work.
2. Experience in previous project coordination.
3. Training and experience in topics of adaptation to climate change.
4. Training and experience in topics of mountain research and landscape management.
5. Knowledge and skills in group dynamization techniques.
6. Good level of Catalan, Spanish and English, written and spoken.
7. Possibility to travel frequently abroad and field work.

ASSESSABLE CONDITIONS

1. Previous experience in LIFE and SUDOE projects.
2. Experience in participatory processes and work with multi-stakeholder platforms.
3. Scientific PhD.

SELECTION PROCESS AND CRITERIA
The selection process is led by the project research team, and will be overseen by the Management Office and the Human Resources Area of CREAF. This process consists of:

1.  Admission of candidates: applicants must submit a résumé, a cover letter (maximum 500 words) and the questionnaire attached to the offer (filled), by e-mail to laboral@creaf.uab.cat, until 28 June, 2 PM, indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications referred to another portal, other than CREAF job openings section and the instructions included in this, will not be accepted.
2. Pre-selection: determination of compliance with the minimum requirements of the offer.
3. Selection: assessment of the preselected candidates by scoring based on objective criteria.
4. Final decision: in case of finding the suitable person, the election will be formally communicated to him/her, and the identification of the chosen person will be published on CREAF job openings section.
